Leather Tensile Strength Testing: How Strong Is Our Leather?

Every piece of fight equipment lives under tension. Gloves flex with every punch, punching bags absorb thousands of strikes, and the padding covers on our cages and rings get pulled, pressed, and impacted daily. The leather covering all of it needs real mechanical strength, not just a good surface feel.

In this video, we test the tensile strength of the various leathers used across FightBro products, from glove and pad materials to punching bag shells and cage and ring padding covers. The tensile tester pulls each material sample apart with steadily increasing force, measuring exactly how much load it withstands before failure.

The numbers tell us which materials belong on which products. A bag shell that absorbs heavy kicks every day has different strength demands than a glove panel, and testing lets us match each leather to the job instead of guessing. Watch the full test in the video above.
